While some resume services offer a "guarantee" that you will land an interview in 30 days or your resume will be rewritten at no additional charge, we believe that if a resume needs a rewrite a month later, then it was not developed for maximum impact the first time around. A 30-day rewrite guarantee is meaningless if you simply receive a second poorly written resume! There is no room for "trial and error" in resume writing, particularly in today's sluggish economy and competitive job market.
The best guarantee of a quality resume is to select an experienced, qualified, and certified career industry professional!
Do I need to make an in-person appointment?
No. The entire process can be handled by phone and email.
How long does it take to receive a draft of my resume?
You will receive the draft of your resume and cover letter for review in five to seven business days following the completion and return of the Resume Development Profile. After you have reviewed the draft, we will schedule a post-development consultation to discuss any modifications, and you will be provided with a revision draft. Once the review process has been completed, and you have approved the final draft, within one to two days you will receive all career documents, your receipt, and a 17-page Reference Guide which addresses common questions and provide recommendations on a wide range of job search topics such as posting your resume online, marketing your resume, interviewing, salary negotiation, etc.
I need a resume right away. Can you help?
The normal project turnaround time is five to seven business days. It may be possible to provide a rush project for an additional fee, depending on the current project load. A rush project is not recommended unless there is an immediate need, eg an ideal posted position with an impending deadline date.
How does the resume development process work?
- Rate Quote Request: The first step is to provide a brief overview of your experience and target position via a Rate Quote Request Form, or call Access Resumes at 678-574-3271 or 1-800-408-0024.
- Telephone Consultation: I will schedule a brief complimentary telephone consultation to discuss your current situation, recommend career documents, and provide a rate quote.
- Resume Development Profile: Once the order placement is confirmed, I will forward a custom profile to be completed and returned within one week.
- Resume Draft: After the information-mining is completed, the draft of your resume (and cover letter if included in your order) will be emailed for your review within five to seven business days.
- Review Process: A telephone review consultation is scheduled for feedback and to discuss revisions or additions, which are completed within one to two days. If there are changes, a revision draft is forwarded for your review in one to two days.
- Order Completion: Once the review process has been completed, and you have approved the final draft(s), you are provided with all career documents, project receipt, and Reference Guide (with tips and recommendations on topics such as online resume posting, resume marketing, interviewing, and salary negotiation), as well as information on items such as managing your career documents, career networking, and future resume updates.
